Cinema 4D ver 5 - Can you add an Audio File to Animation?
I would like to add a Wav file, but I cannot figure out where to add it. In
the Time Line, I did not see any Tracks that you would add a Wav file.

Thanks.

it has been a while since i worked with ver5, but i don't think you can add an audio-file directly into cinema. you probably will have to use a video-editing-program to add sound to your animation

Thanks. No wondering I could not find out to add the sound. I tried a Cinema 4D ver 8.0 and it was easy to do.

Right now I not able to upgrade to 8.0 :hmm:

As far as I know you still need to use a 3rd-party application to add the sound to the video file in R8.
You can add the sound and see the waveform in the timeline,
and render out the audio, but it renders it out the vid and audio seperately,
again, AFAIK.

If you use Windows, there is a really nice, and even FREE program to mux the audio and video tho.
Head on over to virtualdub.org and get the latest version.
I've not done any anims lately, but what I used to do was save the animation as uncompressed avi,
load it into vdub, load the uncompressed wav file,
and set compression options for both audio and video there,
and then save the whole thing out from vdub.
