I haven't posted here in awhile, so glad to be back in search of helpful responses. You guys are great!!

Anyway, I finally got adobe illustrator and started working on a tutorial from http://www.ayatoweb.com/ae_tips_e/ae17_e.html#

It's the one with the letters that come up as penmanship.

I know this is an AE related forum, but my question resides in the first section:
"Creating the Gradation Material
Although there are various the expression techniques of "Writing Effect"
It is introduced The method which used "Gradient Wipe".
Since it is a quite advanced technique, please understand.
Use "Blend Tool" of Illustrator.
Create the Gradation which order of a writing character."

Exactly how do I use the blend tool?I tried reading through the help file and couldn't find the right answer. What is it telling me to do?

Just use the write-on effect in after effects, it's easier to use if you jus want to do that.

I found the tool but I don't really know how to use that either. (i'm disapointed in myself for not being able to get past step one :( )
