take a look at the image.

there is not enough face in the uv editor clearly. i had deleted history.

wht could be done on this?

i think you didn't set up uv map yet.

applying mapping method first.

The UV's are most likely on top of each other. Try selecting just one of the UV's in the viewer windoe then go to the UV Texture Editor and move it to see if there is one underneath. I suspect that this is the case. if you used a planar projection on the mesh in the picture it would put the UV's on top of each other.

uv method? wht is that?

and also it is clear that there is missing faces. i switch the geometry in the viewport and the uv editor into face mode. the selection of face in the viewport didnt show up in the uv editor.

anyone could help me?

yes if the UV's have not been laid out then your face selection will not show up in the texture editor.

just as a test I would apply an 'Automatic Mapping' to the object. Polygon UV's>Automatic Mapping

See if the face selection shows up now. If that's all you need then your good or you can look up some tutorials on laying out UV's.
