View Full Version : overide raytracing
daniel77 03-30-2006, 07:00 AM Hey all!
Is it possible to deside in XSI which objects should raytrace who. Example: This sphere shouldn't be visibel in that cube but in everything else. Like an include/exclude that you have for the lights.

you can uncheck secondary rays in the objects PPG under "rendering".
Its also possible to control this with overriders in renderpasses.

if you're on XSI 5.x check out all the options in the Object's Visibility>Rendering property.
you might also want to check the Ray_Type node, in the render tree, you can
use this node, to decide how objects havving this material, will be reflected, refracted, rendered,
how they would cast FG etc'.
