View Full Version : Problems with Saving shelves

I have run into a problem with Maya recently where when i open the program, it tells me that it is having problems reading some of the information in the "Hair" shelf. It then tells me that if i save the shelf i will lose all unreadable information for that shelf. The biggest problem is that it crashes with a Fatal Error when I'm saving preferences, closing the program, and saving the shelves. Anyone know what I can do? I have reinstalled the program but the problem is still there.

just go to maya user dir and find userprefs.mel and delete it and maya will reset to default factory settings

I tried what you said and now Maya doesn't even work even if i reinstall it, it still won't work.
