What is lean vectors and bean vectors?

i think your refering to the helpers with shag hair...

go to your helper panel and there will be shag vectors in the roll out...these are direction indicators, then from that panel you have attached in your post you select the direction vector you want to affect either the lean or bend...so if you want to have the hair looking like a wind is blowing in the face, point the vector at the face, then select it as a bend vector :)
