Title: RiverAmbush
Name: Austin Germer
Country: USA
Software: 3ds max, Painter, Photoshop, Poser

This was one of my first painter works. I wanted to create a dynamic scene, with a strong central subject and some subtle story framework in the forground. Critiques and comments welcome, I am especially trying to work on mood and emotion as well as relating a story line. I do know that the archers stance would make it difficult to shoot an arrow, but it looked sexier than the correct posture.

I have a very important question???????

Who's gonna go first??? :argh:

It does give me a feeling of ambush.... I remember walking alone in a forest like this... except, it is without a waterfall... flowing creeks only...it is about 2 kilometers from the farm... and the place is a known area, where rebels or army rangers pass...sometimes...

a local resident told me..."if anybody ask you anything, just tell them you have not seen. " .... even the word anything, (joke)... shortly, before i returned to the farm...a neighbour in the farm asked me, "where have you been?" and when he knew where, asked "Are there many chickens there?", I answered "NONE" (honest answer)...

Thank God, there was no chickens at the time i've been there... because i forgot the instruction of the local resident... and i answered the farm neighbour the truth... because the place where i've been, is known also to have many chickens... of which i've known of late...

If i did see even one chicken ... i would have answered "Yes, but only one." (honest answer)...of which might put me in danger... i think maybe because someone is interested with the numbers that you can give as info.... better keep my head to where my neck is.

If your CG painting reminds me of this, then there must be some substance in it.
