Hey,
well this is my first crit, this character isn’t nearly done. After this render there’s allot of things I would change, I just didn’t want to take the time to re-render. I really just wanted some feedback, and also to show some of my work to display the lvl that I’m working up from. I haven’t had any formal training, only through tutorials and videos. Anyway check it out give me some feedback cause it helps my learning process. also i know the poly count is kinda low in areas that it needs it and high where it doesnt the flow needs a lil work.

Hey pritty good so far. from what I can tell you line flow isn't too bad but I would work on rounding what you have out first then start to add more geo. cause if you get too much too fast then the spots that are close together now will pinch something horrible.

Cheers

i dont know if you are using a reference object to model from in your viewports. if not, i would suggest it. keep working on the model and more models. everyones first cant be a masterpeice...or second or third...

by the way, it looks like you are using nurbs, not polys. so youd have no poly count.

technically the term in lightwave is metanurbs- it is basically a rounding off of the polys. in lightwave it only has polys. so the count is always going to be the same unless you freeze the object then those metanurbs become polys proper...

what the other guy is talking about is nurbs proper- non uniform rational b splines. kinda the equivilant of splines in illustrator or other vector based programs...

max and maya have both and i think so does xsi(i think) but lightwave does not rather it uses meta nurbs. it used to be that layout couldn't read a meta nurbs nessisating a freeze action but now it can read the metanurbs so there is no need.

alot of this is legacy info and you don'e know unless you ask.
