Mp5 - stll need to cut the poly count down on the weapon. around 600 so far. when I made the gun I wasnt sure what I was going to use it for so i wasnt concerned with the count.

Looks good so far...he'll really benefit from textures though. The only problem I can see at the moment is the normals blackening on the sleeve cuffs. Did you use "average normals" to do this? Try doing the normals on an area by area basis (a pain, I know, but worth it when lit).

Thanks for the normalfix. The model is for nothing at the moment. I had a dream about this guy. I will post the textures real soon. Thanks for all the feedback! Merry X-mas even tho Im an agnostic. =)

almost done. I need to detail the textures a little more. Please give some feedback, I like the face but yet I dont. It looks like my sketch but i dunno.....what do YOU think?

I like the model a lot and the textures are coming along. I would definitely add more detail. A wider color range would add more contrast. For example more dark greens etc... Remember that to add more color interest use complementary colors for the shadows and highlights, not just black and white. Cool colors for shadows and warm for light areas. More wrinkles would be good. And put some polish on those boots! Overall I like how its coming along.
...... just checked out your site. I particularly enjoyed your traditional artwork.

Thank you,
Yes I NEED to make the boots polished. Why didnt I think of that. You know when you get stuck doing one task for a while and you forget about the big picture. That seems to happen a lot to me when I use this super freaky 3d/2.5d madness. Im glad to hear you liked some of my older stuff. Most people just have no clue about anything where I live, that Is why I must move. (must also remember that a wider color range would add more contrast.)
thanks again
I looked at you design website....do you have a personal gallery I could check out?:surprised

I liked the Version before better. The newest version has very saturated colors which lack the creepyness of the former versions...
Also, I've got the impression that the Texture resolution is very low here. I don't know if its just the JPG compression, some strage-looking details or an irregular UV-Mapping (the area below his knee looks disorted). Can you post a rendering of him with a checker - texture applied?
I would reduce the texture saturation and the glow his eyes - looks a bit 'cheap'. Normaly, just some self illumination in the eyes would be enough... Or maybe just plain black eyes - looks often much more creepy then glowing ones.
As for the Modelling - I think the Body is great. :buttrock:
The Face, though looks like it could do without a lot of Polys. Also, you could save a lot by not modeling the Teeth out but using an alpha Texture instead.
But theese are just Details anyway, very nice work!
(btw, what's a Klisk anyway?)

i think the model is sweet. i argee with the fact that the glow on the eyes is a little cheasy but sometimes cheasy is good. i like the character in general though and i personally think the darker texture makes him look more like some dirty crazed mutant vietnam vet. awesome:buttrock:

Hi again. Could you please post up your texture, and a separate sheet showing your UV layout. It might be easier to crit your texture work with those :)
Keep it up,
JB
