View Full Version : Shader: Stealth from metal gear solid

Hi all i'm trying to achive the kind of stealth from metal gear solid (the ninja cyborg) And predator (the movie).

But I can't get it right :S I've got this atm:

Can anyone help me???? This is a 20% opacity cartoon shader with faceted checked on. I need a bit refraction but i don't know the IOR to it and all :S

As u can see all my attempts have failed sofar, plz help me out.

I was playing with this not too long ago. I got decent results. What I did:

1) Set IOR *very* low. Maybe 0.03 or even 0.01.
2) Set IOR map to Fall-Off and stair step it like a cartoon shader with 4 steps.

I was happy enough with that.

stroker, i've been looking for something similar to this recently, but i don't quite understand the instrucutions you've given, could i see a material rollout for something like this, afterall a pictures is worth a thousand words :)
