View Full Version : Pass/partition/override bug...or is it?

Hi,
I have little problem with render pass/partition/override. For some reason after changing current pass it will lost object's original materials.

1. Create 3 poly objects. Torus, sphere and cylinder for example(poly meshes).
2. Apply 3 different materials for each. Phong, lambart and blin for example. (change diffuse colors of each so you can see easily when material will lost).
3. Create new empty render pass.
4. Select 2 of 3 and create new partition.
5. Assign new material for partition you made.
6. Apply override for that partition and set boolean parameter for diffuse_inuse and turn it off.
7. Set current pass for default and turn back to new empty pass.

Does object's original materials lost?

It happens with XSI 4.2 FND. I tested same thing with XSI 5 and version 5 will work just fine. Unfortunately I have to use 4.2 on this project so... Any help? Is it bug or am I doing something wrong?
