ummm.. i've beed working on this on and off for a few months but i just bicked it up again 2 weeks ago.. i need to get better head references from the subject first before i go on with them
i dunno how to get shaded wires if anyone would like to let me know im using max... it would be greatly appreciated
this is the first skin shader i've made... however i can't unwrap the mesh right so i can't make a good texture. so the one i have is just laid across the whole body instead of having specific details painted in like i want... at least the nipples.. lol they look weird being the color of the rest of the body
the model is fully anatomically correct just as a notice for the squeemish
im gonna post a progression of the pics i have
i've been asked not to post the reference pics of the body at the moment... i have to block out the face.lol
just let me know if there seems like theres anything wrong or anything there looks like i can tweak
some things look weird cuz thats how they are
this is not supposed to be a super model

I think the deltoids look a little flat on top. Theres just something about the clavical/deltoid intersection area that bugs me.

the arms look like they are twisted kind of awkwardly. It seems like the biceps are pointed up and the wrists are horizontal. For me to pose my arms this way is unatural/uncomfortable, but it is possible.

maybe having the front wire in there will help....
i dunno i've been looking at it for a while but it's like the natural arms out to the side pose from what i can tell the muscle bumps up a lil at the top.. the biceps bulges a lil at the front.. the crease of the elbow is facing out then the forearm twists down into the wrist

ok I made a overpaint trying to ilustrate my point.
Basicly It looks like the outer contour is correct but the way the edges flow together is off . I can see that your not concerned about muscle tone so much, but it contributes to the surface apperance of the skin. So it has to be acknowledged in the edge flow.

thx... i've tried to fix somethings... i hot a chance to look at my reference pics cuz my roomate was out of the room most of the day so i didnt have to worry about seeing my GF naked lol
ill post the pick a lill later..
i fixed the knees, feet, shin, alot of the legs basically and the genitals. i realized that i was goin through far to much trouble to pull off making them look right before lol. and i worked on the arms a lil bit..
any comments on my skin shader? i need to fins someway to unwrap the mesh well cuz i wanna put an actually texture on it instead of the one i have on there (probably the base of what ill work off) just get some identifying markers and changes in color for the areola/nipples
any max users know any way to i can do distribution maps for hair? cuz i was gonna start that next since i wont be able to get new face references till friday

I am terrable with lighting and shaders, but to unwrap uvs in max youl will most likley use the uvw unwrap modifier. I try to make sub object, polygon selections to the limbs and torso seperatly and use the UVW MAP modifier with cylinderical as the mapping type. Everytime u select a diffrent section and aply the modifier you collapse the stak. then after everything has cylindrical mapping aply the UVW UNWRAP modifier and go to town unwraping and arranging in an efficent maner.

Yes I would say it is an improvement. Check out this site for anatomy refrences, you have to dig around a bit but its free.

i worked on it more against the photo references... i think it's looking alot better / closer to look like the subject, it's tough working on it with the reference and trying to get no one to see lol...ill post pics in a bit

after seeing the my g/f this weekend i realized those pictures are horribly in accurate anymore cuz she's lost alot of weight so i reworked the model to accommodate
image shack isn't letting me upload at the moment so i'll post the pics later

sorry for no updates recently. im going to do some more renderings tonight. i've had a psych project for school i've been working on si it's been taking up alot of my time.

argh max keeps telling me "application has run out of memory and will now close" whenever i try to do a render, i have 3GB of ram.. and have as little as i can running.. i'll post some viewpost Ss's in a bit though

i reworked the elbow and parts of the hand as well is fixed the face a bit. I want to be able to put hair on it but who knows if it actually feels like letting me do that

anyone have any help on the SSS max hair problem? or any tips on doing a UV unwrap for the character. I want to actually finish it so it can be part of my portfolio however I need some help.. And though over 1500 people have looked at it there are little replies

Her breasts are too low on her chest. In general, a human's nipples will be one head down from the bottom of the chin. So unless they're really saggy, it looks really off since there's too much upper chest.
Also, when you model her with clothes on, remember that the bra will lift and press the breasts up and in towards the body.
What anatomy books were you referencing from again?
There's some problems with her stomach in regards to how the fat pad around the belly button is placed. Where the legs meet the hips, there isn't as much of a transition than what you have since there are some muscle groups and fat pads in the area.
Please show us 3/4ths views instead or all orthographic views. The orthographic views don't show as as much as a perspective view would and it's easier to miss problems.
I'd also like to see a closeup of her face, as I think there's some problems with it, but it's hard to tell from that view.
