hello all,
i am doing some particle stuff on a mac on maya 7.0.1
i have a very simple simulation of some particles emitting off of a surface, software render.
i am rendering on a network of 60 boxx machines, and the cache seems to be picked up perfectly.
the problem is this. on about 9 of 10 of my renders a variety of frames will be goofed up. again, i have a low particle count, nothing serious. i can send the same file through several times, sometime the render is perfect, sometimes 10 or 15 frames out of 300 are bad.
any ideas? and yes, i realize maybe it has nothing to do with a mac . . . i am just reaching for anything right now.
