hi guys :),

i have this problem.
i made a cylinder that has a bend, but when i map it it looks like this:
(this is without uvw map)
http://img393.imageshack.us/img393/3760/11qy1.th.jpg (http://img393.imageshack.us/my.php?image=11qy1.jpg)

no matter what kind of uvw mapping i put over it (planar/box/face/ect) it wont work.
here is a render with a uvw mapping over it:

thanks

What do you want your result to look like? Try a box mapping, but increase the size of your box so that it's the entire size of the object, and you should get better mapping than that. If you want the mapping to follow the object, you could look into the suirface mapper, or look into the plugin called Texture Layers, which has spline mapping, so you can make a spline that follows the bend and map it that way. Or apply good mapping to it before you do your bend. Hope that helps.

Thanks man!
it works!
here is the render+the sollution:
http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/8563/sollution5um.th.jpg (http://img59.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sollution5um.jpg)

and for some kind of strange reason the blur was on 1.0... and it had to be 0.1.
thats why the texture was so vage.
anyway, thanks man!
