I've been posting mainly in the Beginner's Lounge thread, but I think making an anatomy tread will make me draw and post more :) During working days I dont have acces to my tablet and computer, so will probably hard to post anything till weekend, I will try to get my scanner fixed some days :)
ofcourse, as always . . C&C welcome !!
Well lets get it started . . this is what i've made today after hours of studying homework, it was time to relax a bit and I picked a masterpiece from " Anatomy lessons from the great masters", page 56 , Titian, studies of the legs.
Hardest part was . . again . . proportions and the kneeball . . whatever it is called :p

Great to see your Anatomy Thread! Somehow I missed this yesterday, but I'm glad to see you're going to post your studies here, it will be great to see your progress!
Knees are indeed tough ~ why not do some studies of the bones and muscles of the legs? Do you have any Anatomy books?
A great online resource is:
Anatomy Atlases (http://www.anatomyatlases.org/atlasofanatomy/plateindex.shtml)
Gray's Anatomy Online (http://www.bartleby.com/107/)
Looking forward to seeing some Anatomy studies! :)

Thnx for the links rebecca,
I do got a lot of great books, I am currently studying the bone and muscle structure of the human body. I started with the arms and shoulder . . using traditional drawing so I couldnt post them here since my scanner is broke -_-.
Next time when im drawing parts of the human figure I will try to study/draw the bone/muscle structure first.
Currently reading some Loomis books, the gestures/mannikin drawings are very nice, using very basic bone shapes, probably something I will try next heh.

Sounds great, Calvin! :)
Someone's thread whom you may want to check out is Lyneran's, as she has been doing some really nice Loomis studies as well:

Some excercises i did this morning before starting with homework =/ Did it with kinda rush lol, the porportion I think i need to do more . . somehow it looks weird. I think the width is not right . . and the legs . . those were horrible to draw LOL . . . my mind know what to draw, but somehow my hands don't want to cooperate :p
c&c, as always . . welcome ! :D

Great to see these, Calvin! The key is to do many, many drawings like these. The more you do, the greater your understanding. It might help to work traditionally in pencil, also ~ you get more of a feel for the drawing that way vs. digitally. :)
