Hi All.
Subj EDL.
What programs are known for work with EDL.
Namely - check of a material on presence, preparation for scanning (from EDIT list).
Such checks - as:
hit of the plan in a range, presence of the plan not completely (i.e. there is only a beginning) And so on.
Basically work with figures, instead of with the image interests.
So to say - conforming in figures (names of files, time code).
Thanks.

Final Cut & Avid work with EDLs

EDIT: I forgot to mention two things... EDLs are fine when working within the same version of the program. But if one user uses an older version, you'll have to open the EDL file in a spreadsheet and manually delete (or add) the corresponding data. If you are running between Avid and Final Cut, use Automatic Duck

every professional editingsystem can handle EDL.

Tuqui-tuqui: The reasons people use EDL's because it is compleatly version/programindependent so your reason doesnt realy make sense (as long as you use compatible formats). For regular EDL's you dont need automatic duck between Avid and FCP for normal edits.
Where your statement does make sence is when you're using effect and stuff. That's a whole other story because EDL's wern't invented for that purpose and can whine a bit when moving to different systems. In that case an automatic duck would realy come in handy. but as i see it in wladyslav's original post he just want the basic EDL options that come with it.
