someone posted a question on making believable water
so i made a little animation - im terribly sorry but i cant
upload the movie but i can explain the main idea - which is:
use the texture from "water well" in the penny examples
and apply it to a rectangle along with DiTools' DiShaper
tag - the result is a loopable wave that you can preview
without having to render first
more complex waves can be created by using another texture
channel flowing in a different direction - though it wont
loop it does look like choppy water
Stupl at 8000% global seems to work ok
an idea that i have yet to try is to have the texture moving
in the y axis and see if it looks like water currents rising
to the surface
