View Full Version : Sprite Transparancy Help

Greetings! working with sprites, and can't seem to get an alpha chanel to work.

10 frame walk cycle mapped to some sprites.
I have loaded the frames into the Color of a lambert shader. Usualy the alpha drops right in (you can see it working in the Hypershade)
When i noticed it was not showing, i reloaded the frames into the Transparancy to see if that would work, but it did not.

try converting your tga sequence to a sgi sequence. worked for me. and don't use photoshop to save sgi files. use fusion, shake, after effects, combustion, ... instead. for some reason maya can't read photoshop saved sgi files with an alphachannel. at least i had problems with this lately.
