View Full Version : Paintable blendshapes...
Mighè 12-23-2002, 01:30 PM I know that there is a command to make attributes paintable (especially for the deformers): now i want to know if exists a method to make the blendshapes target weights paintable directly on the surface?
Thanks in advance again

The guys that worked on the Mystique morphs in xmen posted the custom plugin that they created for doing the effect:

They used artisan to paint blendshapes between the wolverine and the mystique models in order to get a non linear morph.

wow that's a pretty neat idea. I'm constantly amazed at the ingenous things people do with the software, especially Maya and Renderman!

The cool thing about KWCC(guys who did those seq in Xmen) is that they even use maya's renderer for the scenes. Not sure, but I think they rendered all "The One" shots they did in maya also(The scene the sped up and slowed down as Jet Li took out the swat team and 90% of the characters in the shot were 100% cgi, and all the cgi face replacement scenes in the end fight).
