View Full Version : Stair Plugin for Max 5?? Plus other ??'s

1. I used to use a stair plugin years ago...and the one I d-loaded doesnt work in Max 5 = (......anyone know a good Plugin for making stairs in Max 5??
I've used array and boulean so far...but it leaves a realy ugly mesh when i'm done.

2. I've been trying to make a real looking Sun.....so far the best tutorial I've found is this.. http://www.scifi-meshes.com/tutorials/zasurus/tut__sun.html and it's helped...i've played a lot with this tutorial and made some nice images...but, it's still not complete...
I'm after something that maybe uses particles...slow moving whisps...sun flare etc typs efects, that ever so slow swirling...liquid look...etc... I'm playing with the various particle systems emitting from a sphere etc...but any tips on making a nice real looking sun would be appreciated.

hmmm.......more to come as I think of them.

still looking for any suggestions for a real looking sun.......for now I'm gonna live with my boulean stairs.

If you are a Discreet subscriber you can get the Extensions for Max 5 which give it the stair functionality of Viz.

Or for about $150.00 US you can get Cebas Stair Max which is very nice and much more complete.
