Title: Leadbeater's Possum
Name: Katherine V. C. Wadey
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop
This was originally drawn, for publication in Finder's Guide To Australterrestrials, with technical pens and an ink wash. Years later I scanned it and colored in Photoshop 5. I posted a request for color assistance for this piece in the 2D WIP forum because my color reference was totally off base.

I've drawn one of these before, for a project at school because it's one of the emblems of our state of Victoria. However that was 11 years ago when i was 8 and its not nearly this good.
Well done.

Back when I drew it, in 1980, my reference book was saying they were thought to be nearly extinct and there was no mention at all they are the faunal emblem of Victoria.

that looks like I has an amazing sketch underneath. It's really quite something special technique wise (and I mean that in a positive way).
Would be lovely to see the actual sketch of this.

sizeThank you Tascha and Anton.
I thought that if I post the final inked rough, the only version I've got, I might as well post the b&w version.

This size image should be more easily viewable. Enjoy.
