I'm calling this one The journey of Ra-Horakhty. It depicts the sun god making his daily jouney over the earth. I want to give him a Neo-Futuristic feel. Maybe pulling alittle cenobyle-esque for the wardrobe. The head probably won't be human, but that of a falcon. as my human-figure skills are not where I would want them to be, I'm going to use poser for reference, then re-drawn. More to come!

Is this your first off sketch or did you have peliminary sketches before this one?

This is the first sketch for him. Upon alittle more studying of the character, I decided to change the head to a falcon seeing that this version of him merged with Horus the falcon headed god

I think this head will do (with a little bit of fine tuning). I want it to have a bit of realistic, as well as mechanical, armour'esque look to it without the head looking too much like the STARGATE version. Next up is the body. I decided it's easier to draw them separately, then assemble them later in photoshop.

Man, I still gotta think of a background...

This is the Semi Final sketch before I really start putting it all together. I sliced the head onto a body I drew separatly. Not happy wiyh the leg armour. I'll tidy that up in the final drawing.

I liked the head, but it didn't look mancing enough. Luckily I saved the body as a template. Should have a final line drawing by sunday.
