Hey guys & gals,

Need a bit of help. Probably very easy. I need a specific reflection and shadow rendered seperate. This is a the basic look i'm after.

I need de reflection and the shadow on the floor rendered seperate. As i'm going to put everything in After Effects and make the floor and background there. So i have full control of these item.

When i use render elemtents it renders the whole shadow pass seperate. Same for the reflection.. But, i just need the shadow and reflection on the floor seperate. It would be great to get this in 1 pass with the LCD tv seperate also. :D

This is going to be rendered at full HD at a tight deadline with the customer not having everything ready for us to process... That's why i need the flexibility.

I work with 3dsmax8 SP2 and AE7.

Thanx a lot....

What about some sort of mask around the areas you want?
Perhaps use a Matte/Shadow material with this to get the details of the shadow opacity.

maybe you should use layers and render it seperately and then composite it again later, although i don't understand what you want exactly, also the car isn't reflecting on the floor in that image, if that's what you want you can select the model right click> properties and then adjust settings there..
