Hey there, I'm trying to do my first patch model. I havn't been working on him long, mabey 6 hours, but my question is ( picture 1 ) How can i smooth those Tanget, i mean I have TRIED everything! but mabey I haven't so thats why I come to you!

5 seamed corners are a bitch! thats all there is to it. the problem i'm seeing is the obvious tangency issue, so try and work that patch going along the side of the abs to run smoothly with the patch above it forming the pecs. make that right edge flow down from the pec and not from the armpit as you have it now. the other fix, which is the one i normally tend to use, is to just leave it how it is, and once you are done with the model convert to poly using the cv's for the conversion and then merge all those vertices, texture it, and convert to subD for rigging and animating. thats just how i tend to go about it though. otherwise, just rework the patches and try and manipulate the cv's with your hulls turned on to try and fix the tangency.
