i think is very strong. keep working on it

Her forehead looks like it protrudes too much over the eyes. If you are using the profile image from Tombraider as reference, keep in mind it is not a true profile image. In that image, her face is slightly tilted and you can see part of her eyebrow on the opposite side.

What a coincidence!I'm modeling her,too.
But i think it's too difficult for me,because it's just my second head.
And there is a problem for me that i can't help adjusting every vertex about 300 hundred times in average. So it takes me too long time!
Any one has experience can give me some directions?

well shes a very nice girl.
I think you must work with the eyes a little bit more,
Before you start building its a good idea to draw some lines on the image and build you character after those, its help you tweaking the model later on.
but keep up the good work, I too need to do that too! :p

worked a little bit with the eyes, but they need more work! and the mouth too...
I'm not sure about the profile either, when you look at her in profile, shes looking kinda funky.

Keep in mind that the profile you have is not a true profile. You can see her opposite eyebrow, so her face is turned somewhat to the camera. I think you are incorporating some of that into the forehead.
Also, her face is pointing down slightly, but you have her eyelids arranged as if her face was forward. I think you need to bring the upper lid out, and the bottom lid in.
It's good, but I think you're letting your reference fool you a bit.

thank you m_luscombe, I will remake the forehead and fix the eyelids...

Nice, but you still have some work to do. If you do not like moving vertexes one by one, try to use some tools - like artisian in maya, or deform paint in max. this is what i've done yesterday with 3ds max and deform paint. It is very fast technique.

WOW, look damn good, did you do that in one day? you really got the her look, I think my model is not looking like the original Angelina Jolie, but I guess that I have alot of tweaking do to...
I will try artisian..
I have a lack of experiance when its coming to model heads, just model two heads before, so I have ALOT to learn...
looks good so far.. nice work, no crits ;)

Well attached the ears now, and worked a little bit with the profile, mouth and eyes.
I think that she NOT looks like Angelina jolie now, need to tweak some more, and I will test to work with Artisian Tool

Looks very striking - when are you going to start to work on textures?

I do not know, if maya can do this (probably yes) but in max u can give uvw modiffier above deformpaint moddifier, so u have texture mapped on your model, all the time in the same way while editing your model at lower level of modificators. It's easier then to fit your model to reference texture than with old 2 planes technique (u can use them too). Anyway your head is getting better :)

I will start work with texture soon I think, but first I will give the face a little makeover with Artisian. Then fix some hair, don't know if I will go with polygon hair or some fur/or similair thing, what do you guys think?

Is deform paint in Max the same as Polysculpt. Anyone.......
Hope its not to off topic but I saw someone refer to deform paint earlier.

nope - it's quite simillar, byt it's also has usefull tools like spline ink, scatter, smooth, etc, and works with all kind of topology - not only polys. it is a great free plugin from Peter Watje.
You made the same mistake I did when using a photo reference. See, the side profil image is not a dead on side view. It's actually a bit angled because you can see her eyebrow on the other side of her face. This is throwing the whole model off severely. Try toning the brow bone down some and see if that helps. Or get a better side ref. The tweaking of the mesh is the most rewarding phase. I hope you keep at it.

MadS: I notice that the profile view was a little bit angled, but I couldn't find a better one.
elukee: maybe you right, but I took the size from the reference photo, but I think the ears looking kinda small too...
Fr3drik: thank you
I'm still tweaking the polygons. I don't know if i will try to get a Angelina 'lookalike' model, because I having alot of problem getting the face inorder:hmm:, maybe I just try to get a good looking girl instead.

Cool, I'm gonna try modeling a face real soon!
I noticed one thing, aren't the eyes too far into the head?

better late than never... I just found my Angelina model.. so I started to make some hair and skin to here!
But I really need help with both of them, the hair I have now is just a test to see how she can look... but I like to make a more realistic hair to here, that goes for the skin too.

The girl doesn't look like Angelina anymore, now is just the name the same!
I tryed to make some hair in PaintFX, but I'm not completly satisfied with the result.
I think to leave her as she is now and start with a new model...
