Title: White Knight and X-37
Name: Karr Marquez
Country: USA
Software: 3ds max

This shot was part of an animation developed for NASA Marshall Space Flight Center as part of a study to use the X series of vehicles, in this case the X-37. The succes of the White Knight on the space race opened the possibilities for a more reliable launch to low Earth orbit.

Very comprable to White Knight, but I think it looks better with SpaceShip One as the payload.

Truck and building shaders need work, they look way too matte for this strong sunlight. Actually I thought your lighting in "the flying wing" was magical! The shadow tells me the sun is at zenith, so it should be really white on the overside of the wings. I'd even add some glow around the white to signify light bouncing off the metal!

Also, there's some strange bleeding going on inside the edges of the building?

I like what you're doing in these series, I'd love to be a science illustrator, since that's my interest!
