well, the head is very nice, although i'm not going nuts over his nose, the nostrils are a bit too big.
His body needs a lot of work. For non-realistic character design, he's nice, cos he's got some interesting cartoon-like exaggerations, but for real-life model, try to smoothen the muscles up. You're giving him too much muscle at some points, and too much bone on others. Most people have a bit smoother muscles than yours, especially the tricep and bicep (especially the bicep, it looks like buldging out, whereas is should extend from the shoulder to 2/3 from the shoulder.

I've done the base of the pants and now i need your assistance cause i don't wan't to make any stupid things. I made the pants as separate mesh because i want to animate them whit SimCloth, is this a mistake ? (i've never worked whit SimCloth) Second thing please give me so advices for the creases.
diazgl 10x for the coments i really appreciate that. The model is not going to be full realistic character i want it to look good but to have the cartoon look more like anime style. I'll fix the nose and the arms so they look much smoother.
Sean is my latest project and he is a part from a project that i'm doing whit some of my friends, but we are in very early stage of work. Hi is a future-cop (something like that :) just wait you see the full model i thing that it will look great and very original.

Well, as I said, it's a very nice model for the cartoon-like genre. I like the folds on the pants, but you should try to decide wheather the pant is stretch or *baggy*, cos at the moment, it looks like it's conforming to the shape of the body at some points, while being free at other points. Try to wear a pair of pants that resembles the look you wanna give and observe where folds occur, and where the cloth conforms to the shape of the body. Usually, on most pants at least, it mostly conforms up to a little higher than the ankle.
Keep up the good work!

i agree, the pants are like skin-tite on his butt then get baggier around the knee it seems... i'd say make them a bit looser up top and do what he says, work on the folds here and there

diazgl 10x again for the crits i really need them to get better.
 Hey btw we are neighbours you know :)
Riven 10x a lot i'm working on it.
Here is my new post of the pants now they look much more better, well i think so. I don's want they look very soft so i made them like that. Please let me know what you think

oh yeah baby work it!!! The pants are looking better now! Still though you have to work some more on them, cos you still have some rough edges where it conforms to the leg, and maybe it's a bit too chaotic, as in too many bumps on the pants. perhaps you need a simpler model, something that shows a stretch at the points where the muscle is buldging out, and some folds where required. Again I urge you to experimentate with a pair of pants, and a mirror, dont know if you already did this.
These thoughts help me, hope they help you:
*Is the fabric tough or soft? If tough you will have folds and bumps pretty much from the ankle to the foot. If soft, the folds will all gather on the foot.
*Is it a pant sewed normally, as in does it resemble a cylinder? If yes, then it pretty much follow the shape it takes on the ankle.
Hope that helps.

Great man, keeps getting better and better! I think you should work on his ass a little more, cos it looks kinda small flat. And what's that weird shape on the back of the jacket?
I still think that the pants need some work (sorry i am being such a big pain in the butt), maybe if they were more loose on the knee.Instead of making it wrapping around the knee, make it loose, with some folds.

diazgl look at the ass now i think it's better now. This strange detail is a ... agh, you'll see when i'm done i can't explane it now but it's gonna be something like scabbard for a gun. I'm working on the pants now so just wait a little :)
10x again you are a good critic
Here is another pic from me of the gloves, they are still under construction so go ahead whit the crits
Happy New Year All wish you all good that can happend to a person

01-03-2003, 09:24 PM
well, it's coming along very nicely, the design is improving all the time. No real crit this time, just that the t-shirt under the jacket grabs onto the body kinda weird under the armpits, not sure what exactly is wrong though....looking forward for your update though!
Nice work! I dig the muscle structure on the arms. The cothes are getting there. The only real crit I have is on the face... yeah the nostrils do look a lil big, but what stood out to me more was the muscles aruond the lips.
The lips look as though they are in a normal relaxed state... yet the muscles on the outter corners are pulled down an to the back some as though he were frowning... know what I mean?
Keep it up though! :)

hmm, interesting remark, i'm going with that too Atmos_Fear. Perhaps the face needs to be "relaxed" a little.

Well, let me start by saying you've come a long beautiful way, this is getting better and better!
The pants....hmmmmm, well, i think they are very nice! I've got my jeans on right now (trying to compare about). Only thing is the smoothness of the fabric from the knee to the foot. Maybe add a long simple fold, or even make the pant have a small angle on the front, instead of a large curve. I like the placing for the guns, it's very original, but I think it poses a problem with the motion. Picture him running and you will catch my drift. Also, i think this would be a good time to start adding details on some small objects like the shoes, the jacket, maybe adding a belt, or something that appears to hold the pants up.
About the gun, i think you should lose the aiming thingy (is it?) you added, that triangular thingy with the hole?
One other thing, i dont know if you agree with me, but i think that the jacket is hiding lots of details. I dont know if the jacket you are showing is the kind of those stuffed ones, but it's hiding the details of the torso.
PS:Could you do me a favour? Could you PLEASE post a render with cel shading? Just simple cel shading,i really wanna see how he looks like!
Also maybe posting some side views (exactly side view though) for the face (not cel) to get a better look at it?

Hi all once again 10x for the coments. There are two things left that i want to make on this model and i'll begin whit the refine.
diazgl don't worry about the gun scabbard :)
Yes the time for rifene has come, pls tell me you ideas about the jaket maybe there is somethnig that i can use.
Could you PLEASE post a render with cel shading? ?? i don't understand that, what's this CEL ?
here are some pic of the head for you :)
I dig the head. The nose an mouth bits have been tweaked out! :)
I also dig the pants and how they are shaped as though you can tell his boots go higer up his leg under the actual fabric. (If I am seeing that correctly haha)
The vest looks ok too. The only little crit I can see is on his arms. I don't know the medical term for the muscle... umm the front part of the shoulder... where it joins with the torso and the outer bits of the pecs... it looks a bit pointed/too sharp. Maybe smooth and blend that into the shoulder/armpit a bit and you'd be ready to texture etc.
