This looks impressive. <img>
Are you planning on making street lights, cars, people, etc. all as detailed as the train? To make a whole city seems like quite the task.
Is it modeled after a real city or did you design your own?

Looks like a rather impressive project as it is.
Are you two planning on making an animation with it? Looks like the perfect opportunity for a showoff.

great start, and cool project
this will, without a doubt, become a really nice scene.
the train looks good, just be carefull the size is correct in comparison to the rest of the scene

Great work so far, I especially like the subway train and the bridge, it looks spectacular! For some reason this reminds me of GTA 3...lol. Keep up the good work :D

Lots of cool pieces here in and of themselves, but I'm a little concerned about the scale of the buildings. One, it seems the towers are really tightly packed. If the black lines represent streets then all the buildings seem to be built very close to the street. Most downtowns have some urban open space in the form of a park or a plaza that breaks things up. It looks very dark in between those buildings!
Some of the building footprints seem absolutely massive. I'm using the stadium at the left in the second picture as a visual reference. One reason why downtown buildings are tall is because land is at a premium and you build up. Therefore the footprints are usually smaller. Of course, I'm not sure if this is supposed to be any place in particular so feel free to do what you must. I'd be interested in knowing the overall scale of the city plan. That might help decide whether the buildings are right-sized for this.

Steamthunk - you're right, we're re-doing the city center. I made it, but since i dont live in an area like that (netherlands, go figure :)). i got things messed up. we will adjust this shortly.
Also, the stadium wasnt in correct scale. i simply forgot to leave it out of the render. Stadium scale has been adjusted...
thank you for checking!! :)

This is really awesome, i'm looking forward to see more progress..
But i'm not sure about the style you're going for. actually, the train and the truck and all the newer, more detailed stuff, looks like youre going for realism, but .. hmm especially the bridge does look very cartoony to me.. as do some of the buildings, that might be because of their scale (what Steamthunk said)..
anyway, great stuff, keep it up!

Were did you get you truck blueprints from?
Googled it, first on trucks, then i found some truck manufacturers. I found this on the MAN site (http://www.mtbm.com.my/trucks/f2000/27410_dfrtg_leaf.htm)
