liquidik 03-23-2006, 02:22 PM Do you know any good editor with MEL syntax highlight?
I'm starting to really like MEL, but for medium2serious thing I just can't use Maya script editor anymore.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not that proficient with mel... but I like SubEthaEdit even thought I actually use it for HTML but it has a mel dictionary

BBedit has a mel syntax plugin as well that you can download from http://www.melscripting.com/bbedit_mel.dmg.gz
i use jedit (jedit.org) which is completely customizable with mel syntax and either the pluggin 'maya editor' or with the macro 'Send to Maya' (available from highend) which i prefer as it doesn't receive the output from maya which can be annoying. the installation of the extensions is not obvious for a dummy mac user but not too difficult either and it does work quite well, besides that there are a lot of useful gadgets available for jedit.
