On Thursday, March 30, 2006, we are very excited about our Industry Spotlight IV event. It will be held at FIT Haft Auditorium from 7:00PM 9:00PM. The auditorium is located in Building C on FITcampus on 27th Street (between 7th and 8th Avenues). NYC ACM SIGGRAPH would like to thank FIT for their generous support of this event.
Our fourth annual gathering of metropolitan-area animation and post-production facilities is going to feature some of the most exciting and innovative companies out there today. The presenters will tell us a little about their companies, discuss future projects and show some of their recent work. Scheduled to present as of March 20, are: Charlex, Curious Pictures, Little Airplane, Spontaneous and UVPHACTORY. We’re awaiting confirmations from other companies so for the latest info on this and all our other events, check out our web site at nyc.siggraph.org.
Stash Magazine will also be at our event giving out complimentary copies of their DVDs. 250 DVDs will be available; if you want one (and who doesn't?) you'll have to come to the event. We’ll also be giving away two copies of their SIXPACKS (with a retail value of $337.00) to two lucky attendees. Admission to this event for NYC ACM SIGGRAPH members is, as always, free. It is also free for FIT faculty, staff and students. For nonmember professionals, the admission cost is $7.00; for non-member students (with proof of currently-enrolled full-time status) admission is $3.00.
