Hey hey! I've seen your work before! I remember that level you made in Maya...and saying to myself..DAMN IT I need to learn Maya. Figured it out..gamasutra!:)
Good stuff so far I mean it is under 800 polys so form wise you really don't have too much to work with. The textures to me seem like they would be fine tuned a bit. I'd say maybe try starting the character out at like 1500 polys then then getting it down to the sub 800 range. I was able to get my current dragon from 4000+ to 2830 polys. Without "Polycruncher" or any of those other types of programs.
Keep it up. I'm listening to some of your music right now. I'm a fellow musician of sorts. What synths etc do you use?
Thanks
B
P.S. How do you get to be a featured artist on GamaSutra?

looks pretty cool, the pic is a little dark..I wouldnt mind seeing a shaded wireframe and a couple more angles..
is this character for a specific game, or just portfolio?

Yea I agree the textures need a bit of work. The character is for a demo - www.gslpr.com. the character would be for a game that would be roleplaying so many characters would probably be on the screen at once. Just seeing what I could do, havent made many poly models.
Oh and about the gamasutra featured artist, you just submit yur work in the required format.
