View Full Version : A Table Scene
ntmonkey 12-21-2002, 04:02 AM Hey Talkies,
This is my first scene using shaders and lighting in Maya. It was a project for school but I felt that it needed to be worked more. This is something that I would like to improve for a demo reel down the line, so I'd like to see if I could get some crits to make it better.
Thanks,
Lu
Hopefully this fixed the problem of it not pulling up correctly.

Here is an image for those not able to see. I can't seem to understand the problem other than maybe a browser issue. I've even called a few of my peers to see if the link works and it does. But, here it is. Sorry about the inconvience.
Thanks,
Lu

Oops my bad I missed the link at the bottom of your posting! :)
Looks good. Could possibly tweak the lights so that the candles create shadows etc?

your img src tag is wrong in your web page, that's why the image is not loading.
you can view the full size pic here: http://www.visualeruptions.com/images/tablescene.jpg
(to fix your web page the path should be src="images/tablescene.jpg" in your TableScene.html file...)
Looks pretty good! I'm just starting on Maya too. If I have one crit I'd say the champagne glasses are a bit too thick on top (or maybe the top is too rounded?)

Thanks for the crits. I'm on the task on making the glass right on top, and I'm trying to add lights to cast shadows. Would you think a rose or something would go good with the composition?? It would add a bit more romance and soften up the image a bit. Anyway, back to work. Thanks again.

leave a crayola by his/her name, seeing that's what he/she wrote the note with. Lol
ok now i see the pic :) looks good but you might make the bottom of the glases on the left a little bit larger... it seems abit unstable at the moment.
