Alright, here we go. Im not sure if i took the right way...but like this idea littlebit :) Ok. After some wars and stuff (post nuklear scene)...bunch of marines must go and find out if there is some green grass and fresh water left. But one bohemian-one...didn chatch the point: he just wants to go on the Journey...

The point is..that he wants to go on the Journey but, have it the traditional way :)

hey thanx.
but about this grayscale?
for me its quite easy way to start. u can easily control the whole picture...colors doesnt bother either. when readings and compos are ok .just add color and thats it :) the fisrst look is important (mostly i fail)...and grayscale is good way to do it right.

Hi G-nome
cool sketch, I like the scale of it. hehe I like how the sarge or whoever it is bitching out the other dude thats trying to quite or run away. It looks like he would have quite a journey to make if he left the car\tank\thingy. I really like the wheels on it, I want rims like that on my car.
I don't really have much to critique, it's still early on in the painting but everything looks good. I agree with you about starting with grey scale it's a nice way to work. I didn't do my current entry that way, I kinda forgot, but I'm still pretty early on in my progress so if I start another version I might do it that way. I dig the way you designed the vehicle, and the character sketches are well designed too. Best of luck to you man, I will come check on your progress later on. can't wait to see where this goes.
Cheers,

i think the pose you strike with the main character is going to tell the whole story. right now he looks like a bit of a hill-billy. in the other pic he seams a bit cooler, but he doesn't seam like he's really made up his mind to go. maybe if he was one foot on the ramp and just cooly strutting along and maybe just a hint of a glance over the shoulder. think Bender from Breakfast Club or Han Solo from Star Wars.
good luck, man.
