I have a model that I have already attached a rig to and I want to modify the Model to add geometry. What do I have to do to modify the Model without having to start from scratch?

Is there a way to turn of the Skeleton => Then Modify Model => Turn Skeleton Back on

I know there probably is a way I just want to know at what point is the point of no return where I will just have to re-envelope.

Just go to modeling construction mode and edit your model. That's it!

Thanks!!! I was scared that UVS were going to get messed up. I am doing a toon shaded character and I was afraid that the tattooes that I had put on the character were going to get all messed up.

Hopefully its as easy as you say.

THank you again for the response.

Also if you are changing the topology, it's best to add new points before removing old ones. This is because things like UVs and envelope weights are interpolated based on the surrounding values so if the old points are still around there is more info available and you get better results.

In some cases you might find that new points are not weighted to deformers but you can just weight them manually.

Use UV swim under render > projection > Swim

This shold keep your UVs from getting messed up whne you add geometry.
