Hi,
Not sure if this has been asked before, my question is can I import mpg, avi etc files to maya? and capture the motion of the video like the realviz matchmover pro software?

If you have Unlimited then yeah, you can use Maya Live to do so, although theres better solutions out there... like 3d equalizer
