View Full Version : Changing elements in an image
nomadicrain 03-22-2006, 03:09 PM Okay, in these 2 images I know how they changed the color of the helmet and jersey. That is pretty easy. What I am confused with is how they changed the logos on the helmet and jersey so seamlessly. I would love to tips and pointers for how to achieve this.

Done this countless times.
Paint a clean plate with the new logo. Track the helmet, track the chest. Depending how much he movies, you might have to warp and distort the image to move and fit on him. Some trackers allow 4 point tracks that compensate for rotation and scale which helps a lot (pending you can get a good 4 point track).

I am actually just wondering about a still image. Also I am a complete noob at this kind of stuff. About all i have ever done is change the color of a shirt using photoshop cs. I have no clue how I would go about removing the old logo while keeping the info for the light on the jersey, and creating a new logo that matches the lighting. just a pointer to a walkthrough on the process or anything would be great. Thanks for the help.

The helment wouldn't be too hard, painting out that logo on the shirt would be a pain. If it's just a still then that's fine, just pull out your clone brush in Photoshop and paint away! You'll be suprised how much you can do with even just a little space to clone from.
