View Full Version : Splitted renders!
Heinz 12-20-2002, 02:11 PM Hi guys!..
Is there any way to render for example frame 320-350 & 388-450 in the same render....
Or do i need to make separate scenes to use in ScreamNetII..

Well, you could try giving LightNet a try, not sure it works prefectly under 7.5 though...
Here's the link:

But you are right though, when you want to render different frame ranges you'll need to start toying with Screamernet

Hi Heinz,
You can easily batch render certain frames (locally) with the -3 option in ScreamerNet.
Here's how to do it:
1) Launch up a command prompt
2) Goto your c:\LightWave\Programs\
3) Let's use your example to render frame 320-350 & 388-450.
type the following:
lwsn -3 x:\YourContentDirectory\YourScenefile.lws 320 350 1 | lwsn -3 x:\YourContentDirectory\YourScenefile.lws 388 450 1
The "|" lets you pipe a new DOS-command and the three groups of numbers are startframe, endframe and framestep.
Type lwsn to get a list of further options.

Multi-Camera Batch Render Camera-switched rendering in Lightwave "MCBR provides an easy-to-use solution for switched-camera rendering in LightWave. mcbr writes a separate scene file for each rendered camera range. It also writes a batch file for stand-alone Screamernet rendering.
This is sort of a goodway to get what you want.
Save often when you make changes.
