hey man. really great character concept here. the only small crit ive got is in the hand holding the sword. the index finger is longer than the middle one and maybe all of them are slightly too large. tis very small crit tho. colour that badboy up me old son!

Hey, nice warrior you´ve got there. As Akewt has pointed out, right hand index is too big (perhaps the right hand is too big too). Also i think it looks too boxy (blocky or wossname), when gripping cylindric objects (as swords handles) fingers take the circle shape (i know im explaining as a brick, English is not my first nor second languaje).
And maybe is part of the comic style but in my stupid opinion the feet are too big, i mean, the ankle is much smaller than the toes, maybe is just the boots (as those warhammer drawings, they always draw box iron point boots).
I really dig the armor and sword details, cant wait to see it painted in painter, he he.

akewt and Pancreas ,
thanks for takin the time to check it out...yeah Ive got alot of learning to do and I apreciate the pointer highly!
I made some changes ( posted it with the original so you can see the difference and hope I did a little better ) I have to do some work on his sword..Im not to happy and I think i rushed it abit so I may tackle it on a later date. I hope that I fixed a majority of the quirks and can move on to the landscape and finally throw it into painter but I'll wait for more input before I start on that.
Thanks again!

Mel, one more crit. The knuckles are all squared off evenly. The meta-carpal bones are all different lengths. Your left hand is running straight across. Thats about all I could find form this awesome piece of work. I really love the revisions you have done. It's definately got more character.

dmcgrath ,
Thanks for the input. I'll try a fix when I get to redoin the sword. I appreciate the comments.
Was testin out painter and seeing what type of coloring I wanted to do so I can start on my bg. (I was impatient :P) I have some things I need to fix on it but wanted to see how it would look with a lil color. (The post is up top)

Okay melmann, I am showing a small part of your pic here of his left hand. It's the only thing that stuck out in my opinion. The knuckle thing I mentioned earlier, I think the middle one should stick out more and the index knuckle should be receeding a bit more. And I dont think that you would see the thumbnail on his hand either. But you shuld be seeing a small sliver of it on his right hand.
BTW I really like the first effort to set the mood in the coloring.
The digital format is nice for making quick tones like that.
You can also make smaller versions of your big pic and just block them out really quickly (thumbnail sketches) in color also.
