Yes, your a cheap skate. This is extremely cheap for what it does. Most good nurbs CAD modelers cost 10k+(except solidworks which is like 2k).
Beaker is right, Rhino is in fact superior to it's more expensive competitors in many respects. Some professionals actually prefer Rhino to Alias AutoStudio, which can cost up to 50K$. I think it's also good to point out, that Rhino and Lightwave make a powerful duo. Both complement each other handsomely.

the prices did go up tho.
IIRC it used to cost 200$ for a regular single use license?
or was that for educational?
