View Full Version : Boujou Camera to XSI??
Thomas Smith 03-21-2006, 08:14 PM Hello all, i have a question about Exporting a 3d camera into XSI from Boujou. Ok so im in Boujou tracking a camera move from a camera mounted onto a plane, where I will be adding cg content (cg airplanes). So i run the footage through mostly default settings in boujou (i also dont know what my focal length is on my real camera. Never the less i get a good track into XSI except that my FOV is really LOW like at 20-30 which distorts the look of my plane?? what gives. How do i get my 3d camera in XSI to have a normal FOV like 50 or so, something that emulates a wide angle lense. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!!!

well if it is a good track, then the 20-30 FOV is correct(boujou auto figures out what your lens camera info is if you don't fill it in). You can't change the FOV without messing up the whole track. Did you compensate for distortion in Boujou? If so then unwarp your shot in boujou and use that output for your camera imageplane in XSI.

Thanks for your help, i didnt use any distortion in Boujou. I think my problem was that in the XSI camera the ratio or the setting on the camera was horizontal, when it should have been vertical that seemed to have fixed the problem. I was able to track a runway and composite my cg plane for take off.
Thanks for the help,
You have great work.
