View Full Version : Rounded Text?
Does anyone know of an easy way to get rounded text. Not rounded edges, but the front face is rounded out. Kind of like a ballon or something.

With the spherical- or wrap-deformer?

I've had that question for a while.
I've been trying to extrude text or logos out like a balloon.
Like those old school puffy stickers.
I've tried doing it in with loft nurbs but its tough.
Any idears out there?

Depends on how much type I needed to create. If it is just a few words, I'd just model the letters as simple boxy font and drop it in a HN. If you've got lots of text, find a font like Hot Dog and Extrude NURB it with rounded caps to match the roundedness of the font.

How about a sweep nurbs on splines made from a type face you like?
