I decided to take the plunge and post pages of the comic book story that I've been workining on for the past few months. This story has been buzzing in my head for awhile and has seen a few incarnations over the years. It originally started at as drawings and then progressed into 3d imagery has I became more engrossed into various 3D programs. I will forewarn you that the story is very graphic intense and has a mature theme. There is some nudity involved and some gay issues dealt with (not prominently but as a subplot). There are some notable Sci-Fi influences throughout the piece and I'm sure that those will be pointed out. As much as I tried not let them play apart in the look of the story and characters, they still managed to surface anyways. I may at some point post images of the characters in their previous incarnations and maybe some of the initial illustrations of earlier versions of the book. Sit back and enjoy. And as always comments are welcome as well as constructive criticisms.

This comes from an earlier concept of Captain Harrison (the redhead in the middle on page #1 of the comic). This concept was done back in 2003. I can post earlier versions of the characters if anyone is interested.

I actually started rendering back in late Novermber of last year (2005). I'm up to page 16 right now. Getting the figures the way that I wanted them and setting up the sets took bout 6 months to a year off and on.

What software do you use to put in the speech bubbles and position the comic stip?

I use CorelDraw 12 for positioning the images and ballons. The ballons I got from Blambot.com. I just adjust them as I need. The images are setup in Poser 6 and rendered in Carrara 5 Pro.
