View Full Version : prelighting 4.0 vs 4.5

we are having major problems with the prelighting in 4.5 when there was never a problem in 4.0

also we do not want to use mental ray as it is too slow for what we do...

I work for a game company and we prelight everything before it goes into the game engine so this is a major problem...

I have enclosed 2 pics so you can see what is going on..

Basically the prelighting seems to work well but just from whatever angle the camera is from. After the prelight if I move the camera angle to view my models then i see the problem... if that makes sense... look at the enclosed pics...

Well, is it having the same effect when you render the scene? I've found that several of my lights sometimes act strangely as seen in the viewport, but it looks fine when rendered....I'm just thinking its a hardware rendering problem
