Hi.

I'm about to start working on a new short,
based on my good old comic Fredo & Pid'Jin. (http://www.eugen.ro/blog/?cat=9)

My characters are two evil pigeons,
on a mission to destroy mankind...
please tell me what you think of them
in terms of expressiveness. -mainly the faces.

I'm going for a 2D animation process,
and before I begin, i need some feedback
as to their "animability" - I've never done 2d before.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I think the pigeon on the left has excellent expression, and the pigeon on the right is getting there, he just needs to be a tad more melancholy

funny... usually i'm told the other way around, like:
the fat dude is calm&cool, and has sort of charismatic look,
while the skinny pigeon is jus trying too hard.

Have you given any thought to how you're gonna shade the little bastards ?
Like are they just gonna be clay ? Or are you gonna go for something , erhm , let's say more feathery ? I would advise against cel-shading, cos the last thing you'd wanna see is the same thing you saw in the comic...IMO that is. So if u go for something feathery, you'd have the added bonus , of a fuzzy silhouette.
