View Full Version : Short movies? ARGH
Tobias-NL 12-19-2002, 05:09 AM hEY
I am a noob, (for your concideration ;) ) and I am figuring c4d out. I discoverd that I only have 90F in the time line. So the movie becomes very short! is there a way to extend this to 500F or more or so??
Thx!

go to Edit->Project Settings
you can change the project length etc from there (also in teh timeline the same options, there's always more than one way to do something :) )

I will try as soon as I return home! By the way, I have noticed that there are always more ways hehe

If have got an other question, this time about textures. I can add a texture to a shape. But can I add a texture to one part of the shape and an other text. to a 2nd part of that particular shape? and how?

This one is quite simple - you need Selection sets.
Go into face mode and select the faces you want for texture 1.
choose, Selection|Set Selection - this creates a Tag next to you poly object in the Object Manager. - Double click it to give it a name e.g. T1.
Now, click somewhere in the right of the Object Manager to deselect the Tag.
Then, deselect all of your faces or invert or whatever you want to selec the other faces for texture 2.
choose, Selection|Set Selection - this creates a Tag next to your poly object in the Object Manager. - Double click it to give it a name e.g. T2.
Now create two textures and drag them onto the poly object.
Once there, enter T1 in the selection box of the Texture Tag for texture 1 and T2 in the selection box of the Texture Tage for texture 2.
you know have two materials assigned to seperate parts of one object.:scream:

Glad I could help. I love using Cinema and I remeber having trouble with the same problem as you.
As long as this forum continues to help Newbies and not-so-newbies like me, then more people will use it and Maxon will keep making it better.
I too am really glad I found this forum - so far everyone has been really helpfull and I want to make sure I give back where I can.

Guys!
This was a question I was going to ask but was waiting for the manuals first.
Thanks for the step-by-step.
