Hello. I am currently working on making a demo reel, I wanted to target game companies and I wanted to know if anyone had any advice as to what I should put on my reel. I'm not targeting any one company, and I heard that I should put high res models, but then I see a lot of lower poly count models, I am confused? Does anyone have any advice? Thank you.

Unless you plan on sending to companies that do alot of pre rendered work, I'd limit the high poly stuff to the bare minimum, just to show that you're capable.
The majority of your reel should be focused at low poly game art, with as much variation in subject matter, style and polycounts that are relevant to today's and the near future's standards. You wanna demonstrate that you can handle anything they throw at you. I'd spend a bit of time tailoring it for specific companies you're really going for by catering to their usual requirements.
Just remember to keep it punchy and only use your best work.. you don't want to bore people or show them your old 'crap' stuff :D
