OK, yes, it looks a little like a HL headcrab. But seriously it wasnt intentional - its actually based on an ol' uni project. But here are a few pics for you guys to crit (and please do).
I have been away from the whole 3d thing for quite a while so I'm pretty much a newbie once again. basically my first organic poly model...
I've unwrapped it but haven't applied any textures yet. as it is my first time unwrapping hopefully it won't streak to bad!

Prod a way.. just be gentle and use blunt spears ;)

It's been a while but was experimenting with both zbrush and bodypaint for texturing. Decided to stick w/ zbrush as I like the work flow better.

okay need to work on eyes and will brig it in to 3dsmax for better texturing. need to add some reflections to give it a wet look... Might add more detail to model as well...
Any suggestions on the best way to paint reflection/specular maps in zbrush? or is it best to just paint in b/w and try to imagine the effect?

Nice work so far, I like the concept and textures. There's something wrong with the arms and legs though (for the claws), the polys in those areas look all distorted, try fixing it. Keep us updated :D

yeah... it was my first uv unwrapping and i must admit i was a too quick to move on to texturing side. will have to re-work those darn uvs!
