View Full Version : proper usage of mental ray nodes

Ok, question is fair simple, and I'm sure the answer is too, but without resources is beyond my comprehension.
Can anyone explain in detail ( meaning what attribute to what attribute ) proper connection of 2d placer->file texture -> material in mr version of these nodes? Meaning: constructing that kind of shader network in hypershade, but with mr file texture node pluged in mr lambert for example?
Most explicit, I wish I'd know how to use advantages of elliptical filthering, what node's attributes to plug in what node's attributes.
Instructions in "mental ray Shaders Guide" are like written for Martians or extraterrestrials. I wonder when they are gonna be translated in english?
