"Yay! Now Zoidberg's the hero!"

"I'd like to help, but I'm already in my pajamas."

Great. Now we just have to hope it's on a time and day where it doesn't get pre-emted every week. When it was Futurama, King of the Hill, and the Simpsons, Futurama was the forst to go.

Why did they ever cancel the show... It was so good at infusing comedy and satire with an actual plot instead of random events. An area where most fail horribly...

I heard it was because when Futurama was around, the public didn't seem to like it. Futurama wasn't anywhere near as popular as The Simpsons and other fox shows, fox and the creator had losses for every episode they made. In the end, all they could do was axe the show.

But after it was gone, it became very popular. People started to download series of the internet, buy the dvds, and watch repeats as and when they came.

Of course, I could be wrong (story of my life) but I hope it answers your question:)

Anyway on a lighter note: YAHOO! Futurama's back! :dances round computer:

The main problem was that it was on a time slot where it ended up being pre-empted by sports events all the time, so nobody could watch it.

It gained new life when the cartoon network started re-running it.

thats BS....

i think they just posted maybe cuz they didnt want to announce the new episodes yet.

i dont think thats how they'd want the promote a new season of anything, especially not futurama. i think the episodes are still in the works...

i pray to *insert diety* my theory is right....

First Family guy (how do they get away with the things they do on that show, I don't know) Now Futurama, its going to be great. Adult swim comes to the rescue again, cartoon network kicks ass.

*Sigh* Never mind, you'd think I'd be used to being wrong. :p

As for the bad info, I would think that there will be a new series of Futurama, judging from the amount of excitement at the idea, they'd be fools not to make a new seires.

Thats how family guy got back on the air.

My god I hope they do make more episodes of it. If they can't fit it in on sunday with foxes other shows I whould gladly watch it on saturday. Even then, I whould much rather watch Futurama instead of the War at Home.

That should be proof enough. I am not entirely sure but I do not think that the people at imdb lie a lot. Futurama is awesome...

Awww... All my hopes were up...

Let's change the title of the thread or something. People could get excited for nothing.

As for me, I'll be back in a couple of minutes after I'm done being rolled up in a ball, sucking my thumb and crying a little.

In one day, over 85000 views for that particular thread on Billys forum. That says *something* about the interest in this show.

Seriously. Doesn't anyone know any Fox execs, someones uncle, a friend of a friends dads cousine? Let them know!!

:wip:

I hope the show is not going to air on fox again. With how they treated Arrested Development they don't deserve any brilliant, well written shows ever again. let them have celebrity roller derby 9 championships hosted by Jesse "The Devil" Hughes.

i'm starting my own network called XOF and i'm picking up every show that FOX cancels.... it should be number 1 within the first year.

That would probably work extremely well, if not fox owned all characters and trademarks, for all future :hmm:
