Below , I decided to give the image a darker overall atmospehere and I decided to add a close up building to establish size.

Below is my attampt at adding dome Hightlghts and Shadows. I didn't get a chance to add a secondary light source yet because I'm not sure where I want it at yet. I used the Digital Airbrush for the highs and lows.

I like your concept very much. Especially the building shapes. Im a fan of watercolours and like how you created an exciting dark atmosphere in your previous post. Im very excited on how you will continue.

very nice, keep it up

TialandError: Thank you

Added some background building and some peaple on the right platform closes to the screen. It helps to astablish the scale.

yes, very nice. I like the light source coming from the left very much. Maybe it got a bit lost (on the big building on the left in the midground only) in your last image. Maybe put some darker values on the foreground? just to emphasize that light source and the depth which is already there and established very well. But perhaps you like to wait for some people with more experience who can comment better then me. In my opinion its very nice and going to rule...

Hope I could help you

P.S. I did some Ryan Church tuts on environments and found the fx/glow brush in Painter very nice for light effects.

hi terro,
thanks for appreciation.
I like the overall mood of the image and from my point of view you could go on adding some details and give definition to the midground buildings as it will add some more drama and I think that one will have an better impression of how the image works. But I guess you know what youre doing...

I like that rusty color effect on the foreground building:).

Ok I started to add in some windows and lights into the far off scrapers. They may not be visable at final resolution but they are there.

Heres a working rez of the windows.

This is nice; I really like the colour choice. I guess even if you can't really make out the lights on the distant buildings, it still adds to the overall effect xD Hope to see more, yo.

I couldn't work on the tower for some reason today. Just wasn't coming out right, so I added in this Flaoting Ship, don't ask me why, cause I have no idea, lol.

I like the newest addition, but it looks more like it's part of the city at the moment. LIke another building, but it gives it personality

agree with alldog, it gives it personality... just one suggestion, as you have those small characters on the right foreground-building, I would add some very small details especially designed for these people, i.e. small docks, small ships, bridge... it would give it more scale ... well... just a suggestion...

Ooo it looks cool, I can already imagine the final thing. are you going to develope the sky more or just leave it as a background? The sky realy adds tonnes of mood the way you have it already:thumbsup:. I love skies, heheh.

Thanks everyone. I decided to scrap the ship all together. I started this as a simple concept of a city I'm working on and adding stuff to it now just makes me loose direction. I will have a few more shots of this city coming up shortly, but for now this is as far as I need this image to go.
